I’ve been off the radar blog wise recently, but I promise, it’s for a very good reason.
Since reopening in April, i’ve been super busy catching up with clients in both Maidstone and Beckenham, often working 6 days a week to catch up and fit everyone in – it feels like the weeks have just disappeared along with the sunshine (although I am told we are getting better weather later this week so fingers crossed for that!)
In June I also had a lovely holiday in Cornwall with my family and just last weekend football almost came home but got lost in Italy or so i’m told.
One of my lockdown projects was writing my own training courses and getting them accredited and just a few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of delivering permanent makeup training Brighton to two very talented students.
The amazing team at Lash & Thread in Brighton were my hosts and I got to teach my very own courses in all things eyes, brows and lips all week. It was absolute PMU Heaven!

Days 1 & 2
I begin my permanent makeup training Brighton covered all of the basic information that any reputable Permanent Makeup Artist needs to know. From how to set up the treatment room to hygiene and infection control, all aspects of safety are covered and nothing is left to chance.
On day two, we get down to business, learning how to design and map eyebrows. Here you can see my two students practising my signature mapping techniques before spending an entire day working on latex skin and training heads to really understand the fundamental techniques of creating eyebrows with permanent makeup.

Permanent Makeup Training Brighton : Days 3,4 & 5
Day 3 of our course is eyebrow day! Our students get their first taste of working on live models. After several days of working on latex skin – these two couldn’t wait to get their hands on the real thing!
Here you can see one of our students creating some beautiful hair stroke eyebrows for our gorgeous model, which is a technique very similar to microblading in result, but performed with the digital machine. She looks like she’s been doing it for years!
I teach three different styles of eyebrow on my beginners training courses. Hair strokes, powdered eyebrows and I teach you how to create eyebrows with both techniques, a style called combination or fusion eyebrows.
Days 4 & 5 are our eyeliner and lip model days. My students get three full days of live models to work on before heading off into the big wide world to do their case studies and create their portfolio.
