YOUR 4 WEEK HEALING GUIDE
- The process you are about to go through is known as the HEAL. PEEL. FADE. RESULT process.
- Of course, it’s important to remember that everyone’s skin is different and therefore each individual person will have a slightly different experience when following microblading, medical tattooing and permanent makeup aftercare advice.
- In some cases, the process may be slightly quicker and in others may take a little longer.
WEEK 1 (HEAL)
The area begins to dry out, forming a light crust.
WEEK 2 (PEEL)
The crust begins to flake away.
WEEK 3 (FADE)
The new skin underneath looks light and the colour looks faded.
WEEK 4 (RESULT)
The new skin heals and you begin to see the healed result.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- Healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised, if you are generally stressed and by poor diet. Please let me know if you are ill for more than a few days during the healing period so I can allow more time between your initial procedure and your follow up.
- Keep in mind that in many cases, during the two week microblading, medical tattooing and permanent makeup aftercare period, some unevenness of colour is to be expected. Your enhancement may not be finished and will likely take a further application to complete the full treatment.
- Loss of some eyelashes during the healing process is a possibility. Lost eyelashes will normally grow back within a 4 month period. (Eyeliner Only)
- If you suffer with cold sores at present or anytime in the past use an anti herpes medication for example Zovirax, 5 times daily for a period of 1 week. If an outbreak does occur it will generally begin on day 3 of the healing process. (Lips Only)
LONG TERM CARE:
- Use a moisturiser/body cream with built in SPF to protect your enhancement daily.
- Use a good sunscreen in hot weather, ideally factor 50 wear sunglasses in hot weather to avoid premature fading of your results. Sun exposure will fade your results prematurely.
- Avoid applying anti ageing skin care directly on the area, these have been known to prematurely fade results.
- If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure or an MRI scan, please tell the technician that you have a cosmetic tattoo.
- Please inform the National Blood Service if you donate blood, as you will not be eligible to give blood for 4 months.
