Semi Permanent Eyeliner (also known as Permanent Eyeliner) is fast becoming one of the most sought after beauty treatments.
It was a treatment I already offered and I’ve taken eyeliner masterclasses before, but nothing could prepare me for the amount of education I was about to take in, in such a short amount of time.

In March 2019, three very well known and dare I say it… BADASS Cosmetic Tattoo Artists landed in the UK from the USA, for one of the biggest industry conferences in the U.K. All three are industry renowned for their expertise in Semi Permanent Eyeliner techniques, but they all have a very different style and very different methods for getting the job done. I attended the London conference with my wonderful colleague, the Training Director at The Clinical Academy, Naomi O’Hara. We exhibited at the conference and needless to say, not only did we thoroughly enjoy exhibiting but we also learned a whole lot and made some amazing friends for life.

A few days later, our three American Friends travelled to The Clinical Academy HQ in Portsmouth where they delivered a 3 day training course (aptly named BADASS LINER UK) in their amazing semi permanent eyeliner techniques and I was fortunate enough to be one of their students. The skills and techniques I learned on this course are second to none and I can honestly say that my eyeliners are now 100% more crafted and definitely BADASS. If you’re a Permanent Makeup Artist who struggles with eyeliners , this course is worth every penny and the training Will, Teryn and Amber delivered was phenomenal!
Semi Permanent Eyeliner : Wings, Wedges and Smoky Eyeliners
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to write this post but to be honest i’ve been so busy with trainings and clients – I simply haven’t had the time! I’ve done a tonne of semi permanent eyeliner since this course and I have to say, the difference in timing, retention and healed results is amazing. The main techniques we learned on this course were Will Anthony’s signature SMOKY eyeliner, Teryn Darling’s signature WEDGE eyeliner and Amber Guthery’s WINGED eyeliner. Which is your favourite?
All I can say is – wow, what an experience to be trained by not one, not two, but THREE of the worlds best semi permanent eyeliner artists. Always wanting to learn and improve, I recently sent photos of one of my smoky liners to Will for his critique and his response was “DAMN!” which I think means I nailed it!
