for LIGHTENING & REMOVAL SERVICES

Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a process and patience is required. This is true whether you are choosing a salt saline lightening product service like LiFT, MM chemical removal or laser.

Please be patient and give the process time to work. Expect visible results in 2 to 5 sessions.

How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result.

In many cases only a percentage of the pigment needs to be lightened/removed and then we can continue the correction process by colour correcting covering the old work. In cases where there is migration or poor placement, colour correction will not likely be an option and removing as much of the pigment as possible will be our ultimate goal. Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed.

Emergency removal can be performed within 48 hours of an unwanted result. Once 48 hours has passed you will need to wait at least 8 weeks before any other removal techniques can be attempted.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • Healing can be prolonged if your immune system is compromised, if you are generally stressed and by poor diet. Please let me know if you are ill for more than a few days during the healing period so I can allow more time between your initial procedure and your follow up/next treatment.
  • With eyeliner removal, the loss of some eyelashes during the healing process is a possibility. Lost eyelashes will normally grow back within a 4 month period.
  • If you suffer with cold sores at present or anytime in the past use an anti herpes medication for example Zovirax, 5 times daily for a period of 1 week. If an outbreak does occur it will generally begin on day 3 of the healing process.
