I’m sure you’ve seen photos and videos floating around the Internet about people getting “tattoos” on their lips, but have you ever wondered exactly what those are and why people would want them? Well, you’re not alone, and you’re about to find out the answer. (and you’re going to be very surprised by the results).

Lip Blush Tattooing: Why It's The Latest Beauty Trend You've Probably Never Heard Of But It's Here To Stay.

This is a step-by-step guide to help you find out if having a lip blush will work for you. There are many things that make lip blush effective but the biggest thing that makes lip blush effective is that it will give you a healthy blush to your lips.

1. What is a Lip Blush?

A lip blush is a treatment that is offered by many clinics and salons in the U.K. This treatment has been around for a long time, but not everyone knows about it. If you have never tried it before, I highly recommend that you think about giving it a try.

Lip Blushing is fast becoming one of the most talked about permanent cosmetic trends in 2022. Lip Blushing is a trend that allows you to show off your natural beauty by creating the perfect amount of blush colour on your lips. It gives the effect that your lips are always perfectly defined without having to actually use makeup on your lips.

The word blush is usually used to describe redness around the cheeks, but a lip blush is a similar thing. It’s actually a very common request in my clinic, and is often misunderstood.

2. How Does It Work?

Essentially, a lip blush is a tattoo. Tattoos have been popular for hundreds of years and today, there are more than 3 billion tattoos in the world. The most common tattoos today are a simple black line or dots. Cosmetic tattoo artists, like myself,  have been using colour to create a variety of different effects and styles, to enhance brows, eyeliner and lips as well as custom tattoos for those requiring areola and scar tattooing as well.

Lip blushing is a delicate cosmetic tattooing technique used to apply a blush of colour to your lips, and then the effect is a bit like lipstick, or more accurately, like a lip stain. This is also why it can be tricky: you need to apply just enough colour to add definition and make a difference, not to mention that when you have a lip blush, it can help prevent your lips from aging and give them a more defined, fuller appearance.

Lip blush can also be used to change the shape of the lips and these tretaments are often combined with other my cosmetic treatments for bows and eyeliner to create a more balanced looking face. This aesthetic treatment for your lips is the perfect way to improve the appearance of your face, giving you a more youthful and appealing look. Lip tattooing can also be done with a natural looking colour as well as with a bolder, more dramatic hue.

3. Is it Safe?

Lip blushes are a great way to get your lips looking fresh and full. They can also enhance your natural lip shape. However, be sure that you understand all the risks and risks of lip blushing before you decide to go ahead with it.

There are risks involved in lip blushing as there are with any cosmetic treatment. A permanent makeup artist should perform a patch test you and take a medical history to ensure a lip blush treatment is safe and suitable for you as a client. Before you make any decision, make sure that you have all the necessary information and advice.

All forms of permanent makeup are perfectly safe when performed safely and done correctly. If you are considering a lip blush, then ensure that you are visiting a reputable artist who uses high quality products and aftercare.

There are, however, certain inherent risks associated with any form of tattoo or treatement whoere the skin is broken. Most importantly, there is a small risk of infection. This risk is usually due to improper aftercare or when aftercare instructions are not followed, so as long as you are takeing care of your enhancement correctly, the risk is increidbly low.

4. Who Gets a Lip Blush?

Who gets a lip blush? Many women still don’t even know that these treatments exist -but if they did, I bet they would seriously consider it!. Even men can enjoy the results and fall in love the way a lip blush looks as the results can be as natural or as bold as you want.

So what makes a lip blush different from a lip stick? Well, there are two ways to look at it: From the inside out, lipstick is topical product which leaves a tacky feeling to the lips, while a lip blush is a way to colom the inside out leaving them tinted with a little colour, so it’s the perfect solution for those hwo love the look of lipstick or lip tint, but hate the feeling of the product on their lips.

Lip blushes have a matte finish as they are pigments that remian under the skin, like a tattoo, and this can be enhanced by using a gloss if you wish.

You can use a lip blush to add colour and definition to the lips. Lip stains have been around since the early 1970s, but are more popular today. Like lip stains, a lip blush can be used on their own or under lipstick.

A lip blush is a great way to add some colour to a pale complexion as well as correct an uneven lip line. A lip blush has the power to seriously transform the way your lips look and how you feel about them.

5. How Long Does a Lip Blush Last?

Lip blushing is designed to fade over time and will require boosting now and again to maintain a fresh apperance. The answer to this queation depends on many factors, including how much colour was implanted during the lip blushing, the skin and lifestyle of the client as well as long term care and the type of product your artist is using.

Some permanent cosmetics contain ingredients which are known to fade over time, but others use ingredients that won’t fade and will last much longer. For most clients the results will gradually fade over a period of 1-2 years but results can last a really long time if you want them to.

To make sure that your lips stay healthy and your lip blush looks great all the time, you must ensure that you keep your lips moisturised. You should use a lip balm frequently. If you want to avoid premature fading, then you should look for a lip balm that contains SPF, which means that it has sun protection also – make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients in your lip balm!

6. How Much Does a Lip Blush Cost?

I’m a very experienced permanent makeup artist, and the products I use are some of the best in the world. But I have to be honest about how expensive some of the products I use can be. Along with proper licensing, insurance and responsible waste disposal, the costs are high for the artist and these are expensive treatments to perform.

Permanent makeup can seem pricey, even when you shop around. A lot of people don’t realise that the cost of permanent makeup depends on several factors. These include the quality of the materials used, the experience of the artist doing the procedure, and how many procedures a particular artist has performed.

If an artist is charging a low price, you have to ask yourself – what corners are they potentially cutting in order to perform the treatments at that price? And will you end up paying for it with the results you are left with?

As a permanent makeup artist of many years, I know what it takes to make a quality product. When I’m working on a new client, I try to find out as much information as possible about their skin and health. This will help me to make sure that the treatments I offer are going to be safe and suitable for them.

I also look at how I can help them to achieve their goals. Good permanent makeup can be life changing.  Don’t choose your artist based on price. Ensure that you choose a great artist baserd on experience to guide you through the process.

My current pricing (at time of posting) is £395 for a lip blush. This includes your consultation and patch test, your initial application and a complimentary retouch if required.
